A guy who works at the local market has been more than friendly for a couple of years...At least that's how I interpret it: introduced himself, always makes it a point to say hi, notices when my shopping habits change, actually tells me how he's doing when I ask...I was involved with someone so even though I noticed, I didn't do anything...Now I'm not involved, and I'm finding I like him, and we've talked slightly more in the past 6 months (he asked where I lived, what I did, etc.)... I'm confused because lately often when I see him and say hello, he doesn't look at me, just keeps working while he answers...I'd like to see him when he's not on the clock...Should I ask him out, or is he just blowing me off now?..

Let's take a book out of the guy's manual, go for it...He expressed interest before maybe he was getting mixed signals and gave up...Strike up a conversation with him, if you need a starter, ask him to help you find some obscure product, if he tells you the aisle number, tell him you checked there, smile and say something like ..
..
"You'd think i'd know it by now I've been coming here so long, could you help me find it?"..As you walk towards the aisle, continue chit chatting bringing references to knowing each other, maybe say you haven't seen him in a while and then give that blushing little smile we do ... and say "cuz I have to admit I kinda look forward to your (fill in the blank - little jokes, friendly smile) it makes grocery shopping so much more enjoyable"...
