Here's that question

Question
Big Crush > from anonymous6 answers
It seems like my gf values security and family a lot, and would stay with me if I were making quite a lot of money (in her opinion). She's not in love with me though. If I made more money, would that make her more likely to love me, since I'm fulfilling her desire for security and the ability to easily support a family? Or is she thinking something more along the lines of a business transaction?..

Why are you still with a woman who doesn't love you -- and worse, why are you trying to figure out how to change in order to earn her love? Dump this mercenary chick and find someone who loves you for you, and not for your wallet...

In some countries that's considered the norm. In western civilization we now prefer love as the bond of choice, altho that hasn't seemed to be nearly as strong as first thought... my own experiences lead me to believe that many people mistake attraction and lust for love but that's another story altogether...

Here is what you need to think about, most people fall in love with someone during their lifetime and if you marry this girl and then she falls in love with someone else, she'll leave you, take at least half of everything you own, half of everything you are going going to make for the foreseeable future and run off with the love of her life. She's told you all this too, after all she's only in it for the money........

I d not think a woman will love a man mre for the amount of money they make...She is either a gold digger or lookign to settle down with a good guy regardless of if she is in love or not...

Not that the wedding vows mean everything, but if you believe in the "for richer or poorer part," you should find someone who feels the same way...
