had me move in a year ago, but I am just not comfortable doing that without making the commitment to get married. We've talked about getting married quite a bit, but almost always it's after a few drinks...We've even gone "tipsy shopping" online several times, looking at engagement rings (which he believes is necessary, not me)...Great fun.........But six months of this tipsy talk is starting to wear on me...He'll say: when he finishes that next big job and gets finances even more stable, we'll (wink wink) maybe be in a position to (wink wink)...Or any number of similar things, always about getting that ring...........We rarely talk about it when totally sober...It's starting to feel like this will never happen, and I don't know how to bring it up without sounding confrontational...I'm ready to get on with this, start building a life, but I wonder if the ring is just an excuse to NOT make the commitment.......Advice?..
from Impossible22 (20-somethingfemale)4 answersSo I met this guy thru my sister. The first time I met him was with a group of...show more
people, but he really turned me off. Since he had already known my sister he knew things about me. Like a I'm a vegetarian, I'm going to vote for Obama, and have a Peta credit card. So he wanted to debate me about these issues. And normally I'm up for those discussions, but I just met this guy and these are things he would not have known about me. So anyway a few weeks later the same group went out again. This time he was really nice, and didn't bring those things up. So we got really trashed and made out. And we would have done it, but he didn't have a condom. So the next moring we kissed and he had his arm around me in bed. However when I left he didn't hug me or anything or ask for my phone number. So my question is do you think there can be a relationship after that night? Thats what I'm looking for. And if you think there could be a relationship, how do I go about bringing that up?..

a month and a half ago...Recently, I have been spending time with a 23 year old guy...Surprisingly, we have a lot in common and have a lot of fun together... I can honestly say he has more qualities that I am looking for in a man than my last boyfriend...My friends are not happy with me spending time with someone 11 years younger than I...The age difference is a little weird, but I am having so much fun that I do not notice it... Is this age gap acceptable?..

from anonymous3 answersThere's this guy that I had met over the summer, and we were kind of dating....show more
We had gone on four dates and slept together twice, and it seemed like things were going well, and then in September he had to go to another city to work on a long-term project, and he was going to be there for a couple of months. So over the weekend I drove down to visit him - rented a car and drove about 5 hours and was going to spend the weekend. WEll, the first night I got there we went out to dinner and drank some wine, and went back to his place and sat on the porch drinking more wine, and then we just kind of passed out in bed together. So the next day we got up and did some sightseeing, and then made dinner at his place, and had more wine but didn't drink that much, so I'm thinking, OK tnight's the night. So we go to bed, and he just gives me a kiss and rolls over, like we're some old married couple. WTF? So the next day, yesterday, I am getting ready to leave and I try to kiss him, you know, more passionately, thinking we can sneak in a quickie before I go, and he refuses me. Gives me this song and dance about how he doesn't want to do anythign w/me while we're living apart. So what the hell does that mean? And why did he invite me down there for the weekend, if we were just going to be platonic? OR dont you think he should've at least TOLD me we were going to be platonic and let me make up my own mind before I spent all that money to drive down there? And I guess most importantly, what do I do now? Should I wait until he comes back and see if he wants to be w/me, or just chalk it up to experience and dump him now? Any advice?..

... If someone told you something about themselves ... do you believe them?..Or, do you think they're exaggerating or minimizing it?.. In other words, do you take people at face value based on who they are today not who they were or what they did before?..

me to hang out with him two times. One time we went fishing and the other time we went to a murder mystery dinner. He is also a junior but he has a "girlfriend" she is a senior. Its the beginning of the year and over the summer he and his "girlfriend" broke up. Now i think they are back together but i'm not sure. I think that he may be interested in me but he's really distracted by his "girlfriend". Next year when she graduates do you think he will become interested in me again? I kind of like him but i don't want to be his girlfriend...Vote:
