to date (internet dating) but, man, it's really expensive! I have a good job but I just can't afford to plunk down $100+ for dinner two or three nights a week. But if I'm taking out a new woman, i don't want to seem cheap by taking her to some hole in the wall, you know? I want to show her a good time. Any tips for how to save money dating but not look like a total cheapskate?..

respect except for one, and it's a kind of a weird thing. She has really bad breath. It's not just when we kiss, which is hard enough, but when she's talking. I have done the old trick of offering her mints and gum, but she always says no thank you, so that's that. What do I do? I don't feel comfortable coming right out and telling her, but I'm afraid I might have to. Any advice?..

candle magic and stuff. She's offered to help me do a spell to attract love, but I don't know - I don't want it to backfire and get me some guy that I hate, or some stalker or something. I'm just a little nervous. Any one have experience with this? Should I take her up on it?..

about two years. Finally, we're in the same town for an extended period of time and he writes (via email) that he's happy to see me. However, I've been here now for two weeks and I haven't spoken to him yet. Granted, he left me a voice mail and writes from time to time explaining how excited he is to see me but that he's under the weather. (It must be hurricane season for him!!) So the question I'm posing you, baffld folk, is, is he nuts and just making excuses with his health or should I believe that he and I will go on a date one of these days??..Vote:

feel as if I am in competition with her. We are in the same field career wise, but we have contrasting views of life. I work very hard to be successful, while she parties a lot and doesn't work for it, but still somehow manages to get by very well. She's one of those people that glides their way through life, and even used to be a model- maybe I am just jealous of the beauty and brains aspect. ....However, I think this may be related to how I feel my boyfriend's parents will see me, as sort of having to live up to their daughter's standards to be good enough for their family/son. Like I have to be some sort of brainy supermodel. This probably doesn't make any logical sense, but his family is very conservative and rigid with strong values, and I have always felt self conscious of the fact that we are different races because no one else in his family has interracially dated before. I am also this petite Asian, while he is well over a foot taller than me and a larger build- it can be aesthetically odd sometimes. They also have a lot more money than where I'm from. I just feel like I have to prove myself to be good enough for their family, and I guess his sister is the closest thing I can compare myself to. Is there any way to stop this?? I have found myself constantly checking via facebook/myspace what she is up to, etc and it is becoming unhealthy...
