Question
Cheating > from anonymous5 answers
My girlfriend just dumped me for my colleague. We were supposed to get married next year. She met him through me at a barbeque, and it seems they have been seeing each other on and off for a year. We were together for 3 years. I feel so betrayed, and now she wants me to move out of our apartment so that he can move in. I feel like changing the locks and keeping them both out but I'm worried about the legal complications. I'm so angry with her...

Angie's my yin.....

Best thing that ever happened to you. Seriously, imagine 40 or 50 years with this woman, going behind your back with bosses, colleagues, milkmen, paperboys etc.....
..
You don't need that sort of person in your life. I'd leave that place and all those memories as quickly as possible in order to start the healing process within you...I can't imagine the kind of guy that's going to climb into your old bed, f*ck your woman, and then chitchat around the water cooler at the office, without it messing with his head. Wow, mindblowing !..
..
Heal quickly, cuz there is someone out there for you...

My heart goes out to you...You have a horrible girlfriend and a backstabbing friend...Only saving grace is that you did not marry her...If you love your apartment, then fight for it...Don't let her swap out your life for this other guy's...Personally, I'd suggest moving on to a new place so you are not stuck in the past, in an apartment that was intended for the two of you...But do whatever you need to do to move on and to hell with what the girl wants...She took away your plans for the future but she doesn't have a right to control what you do to make yourself happy...

Sorry you're going through this. I've been badly dumped, and it of course it feels terrible. ..
..
That said, changing the locks will only make things worse -- it could lead to a legal fight that you'll probably lose. ..
..
If you actually don't care much about the apartment, don't hang onto it out of spite. Because your memories of her are tied up with that apartment, you're probably better off leaving it -- you might feel better if you make a fresh start in a new place. ..
..
But if you really like the apartment and you'd like to live there without her, then stand your ground. Don't be petty, but make it clear that you want to stay there and she'll have to find an alternative...

Whose name is the lease in?..
Why don't you both leave and find new apartments? It would be weird for her to be with her new man in your place...
I know your angry, but better she left you before she married you -- than after. I'm sure it hurts and sucks, but if I were you -- I'd want to leave and find a new place with fewer ghosts...

Either sell the apartment and split the money (if you were both paying rent) or make her leave (if it's yours)...She took your heart; don't let her take your place, too...You gotta fight for something, and since you're not gonna fight for her, fight for your place...
