I'd tell him to f*** himself and I'd bail...Yes, the publicity is part of the package when you marry a high-profile person, but that doesn't give him the right to cheat and embarass you. Most of these men are so egotistical that they think they can get away with it...I'd tell him to face the cameras alone because a picture of my pissed-off face isn't going to be plastered all over the media...I would have more respect for Mrs. Spitzer and even Hilary Clinton is they told their husbands that they aren't going to be taken down with them...

Well, they have to. You saw Silda Spitzer's face at the press conference -- she didn't want to be there. She clearly didn't want to be standing anywhere near him. But, she really had to if she didn't want to a million percent destroy his political career. Because usually when a scandal comes out, it's just an accusation. And if you don't stand by your man, then you're saying the scandalous thing isn't a rumor, it's a fact...

It's part of the package when you marry a famous/high profile man. You get the perks, but you've got to pay the price as well. I would never do it (marry someone in that position) in a million years. And it isn't just scandalous affairs they deal with - it's everything that goes on in an election and in the political job they are in. Look at the candidates right now and how their entire lives are under a microscope. That takes a partner with skin as thick as concrete...

I definitely think it comes with the job, I mean if Hilary were to have left Bill after their scandal, his career woudl have been destroyed...Having you wife stand by you after such a scandal just makes it seem like you are such a good person your wife can't let you go after that. And if a wife who has been cheated on can stand by him, why can't the country?..I think if I were in the position as much as it woudl kill me I woudl appear to stand by him for the sake of his career...However once he was out of office, I am not sure how I woudl feel, you never really knwo until you are in the position you know?..

I dont think it has anything to do with the fact that theyre a politician or not . . . if they have a strong, real dedication for each other . . . they will get through it . . . if their love isnt strong enough or if its not worth enough to either of them . . . it wont . . ...
