As the old Latin truism goes, "In vino amoritas." Oh wait a minute, that's "veritas," isn't it? Oh, silly me...

Anyhoo, this is an age-old question, but I think that the longer you're with someone, the less romance matters. Things like comfort with one another, a shared history, a whole slew of running jokes, and the knowledge that you can freely belch step in to replace all those early-stage romantic gestures. That said, try to keep her on her toes with some little romantic surprises: the unexpected bouquet of flowers, a love note sent just because, a back rub when she's feeling tired and stressed, buying her a hunk of her favorite cheese or a fancy chocolate truffle, even a lakeside picnic (see above, re: wine) when she's only expecting another afternoon in front of the telly. It's a huge cliche, but those little things really do mean a lot, especially once the honeymoon stage is long over. I guess the short answer would be not to take each other for granted...
