If you don't want him to divulge so much about you personally, you can ask him to keep mum (har! gosh, I crack myself up) about you and your relationship. But let him tell her all the details of his classes and his new experiences -- it'll taper off gradually, in good time, when neither of them needs such a close connection anymore...

Just remember back to when you were a freshman...I knwo for sure I told my mom pretty much everything, and I am sure you told her a lot too...After a month or two it fades and his mom will have heard everything and he will not feel the need to keep telling...Just think of how cute it is taht he is so close with his mom!..

Dude, I had a guy tell his mom the first time I SLEPT with him. Some guys like to talk to their moms way too much. If it makes you uncomfortable, ask him not to. But, maybe he just doesn't have a lot to say to his mom about other things...
