Here's that question

Question
Big Crush > from anonymous3 answers
I'm in my early 40s but look much younger and am very much young at heart. I'm into new indie music, go to a lot of rock shows, and inevitably when I see a cute boy he's just that--a boy. Even if I get involved with him I end up so frustrated with how clueless he is...But that's who I'm attracted to. All the single guys my age are not attractive and usually aren't into the same things I like. What should I do? I can't help who I'm attracted to!..

Well speaking as a guy about to hit his mid 40's who is into techno, I hear you. Meeting someone with whom you can relate to on a human scale (emotional & physical) is immensely important, but difficult at our age. Have you tried dating sites ? Being able to filter thru a ton of people using specific criteria to find that one rare gem is a possible solution. ..
..
I also have to believe that their are older guys hanging out at indie venues, but they may not be the eye candy that rocks your world. You may have to compromise a bit, but there is hope, I know many people that met and had LTRs..thru dating sites...

Is there a reason you don't want a real relationship? A friend of mine was in her 40s and then her 50s and she only dated 24-year-olds. But her husband had killed himself when he was 27. And she never wanted to be with a man who was older than her husband got to be. ..
Lots of little boys are pretty. But lots of older guys have XM radio in their car and listen to new music and like going to concerts. And they also can pay for dinner that isn't at a drive-thru, and have a couch and not a futon/bed combo, and don't have 18 roommates. If the little boys are frustrating you, go for an older guy. And you can always burn him some cds and introduce him to newer music...

Speaking as a mid-twenties guy, you should totally keep going for younger men...Most the women our age tend to go for the 30+ year old guys; we're in limbo...
