O_O me, a man, cry, like water leaking from my eyes :O !!!..
..
Seriously the only times I've ever cried in adulthood have been because of a girl...
..
I learned that saying ouch when I say for instance hit the wrong nail with the hammer didn't actually make my finger hurt any less...SInce then I mainly suck it up inside - like John Wayne, I mean the rules say you must shrug off the bullets, and only wince when the lady dabs the gaping wounds with a damp cloth...
..
Seriously part 2. the thing is it's the emotional damage from a broken heart that hard to suffer...Unlike physical injury over the counter pain killers don't really work, and drugs and alcohol only increase the risks of an embarrassing late night phone call, followed by loss self respect...
..
Whereas crying doesn't stop physical pain, it does seem to help vent the emotional feelings that happen when love goes wrong...
..
If you ever ask me about this crying thing in public I will of course deny it...I'm going to listen to the Cure..

The illusion that men do not cry is amusing. Crying is mainly the result of emotional damage. Men tend to be more physical and withhold their emotional state from people and thus spawns the thinking that men do not cry...
..
However in a serious relationship, men will have an emotional bond with that person. It takes time and commitment to build that bond but it is true in any serious relationship. Thus the actions of that person effect their emotional state and thus can provoke crying. Especially if that bond is broken...
..
I have yet to find a guy who has not cried, even in adulthood. You find someone who claims they have never cried they are either medically injured or a liar. ..
..
Thanks,..
-Matt..

I have cried over the loss of a girlfriend. I've broken my foot, lost a toe, and fallen 50 feet out of a tree (Lets just say I have my moments of 'genius') and did not cry, but when I found my girlfriend cheating on me, I broke down as soon as I left...

Yeah of course- but you have to define crying first...A lot of people who claim they don't cry (men, of course) don't all out collapse and weep...That's normal- most guys don't...It's just a matter of hormones that men have that makes collapsing, incapacitating crying very rare and unsatisfying (I heard a really cool story on This American Life about a FTM transsexual who could no longer have satisfying cries after hormone treatment)...So when guys say no, they haven't cried, they're either lying, crazy, or don't realize that choking and tearing up count, too...

I don't think I ever have -- although I've been incredibly upset over relationships, and had my heart broken by them. ..
..
I'm sure it would have felt good to cry, or at least felt better, but that's not the way my body responded to the pain. ..
..
I mope like crazy, but without tears...
