I'm Angie's yang....

I do believe that it is possible to love more than one person at the very same moment, but like a lot of pie in the sky theories,..making it work is a different game altogether... If you are truly in love , who would settle for getting half of..your love & time ?....
..
It takes a special conditioning of the mind to achieve that. Some of us would call it brainwashing. Communism also sound good in theory at some point, in practice tho it crumblesunder it's own weight...

So Wikipedia defines it as :.."is the desire, practice, or acceptance of having more than one loving, intimate relationship at a time with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved"...
..
To some degree, I imagine many live within this definition everyday, having loving and intimate relationships, the parties are aware, possibly in denial about but still aware it is going on.....
..
For me, it's not so simple, I need and want to give myself wholely and want the same in return...I just don't think that is possible if your only half or a quarter invested...Someone's going to get short-changed...

I think that it is possible for someone more than once like a mother and father, but i don't believe that you could love someone like in a relationship. Theres just no way it think that you could share that special of a bond between someone else besides the one you love...

I really don't know, love two people completely and evenly and not put one before the other? I'd love to hear from someone who is in love equally with two people, besides the love for your children, parents siblings. Generally if I start falling for someone else it means that I aint feeling the same way for the person I'm with anymore...

An interesting situation through the centuries have been cultures with marriages where one man has more than one wife. From movies and books I've read, it seems that there is usually a favorite wife (the newest and youngest) and then the first wife with the eldest son that has a valued position. But it seems in these situations, there isn't a real true loving relationship between each woman and her husband. ..
..
I watched a few episodes of that series on HBO called "Big Love" where the main guy has 3 wives. He is truly in love with his first wife, takes the second for political reasons and the third for lustful reasons. The women control the home and work as a team. They schedule by calendarthe nights he is to sleep with each wife and pops viagra most of the time. The wives actually run the show and he is required to spend equal time with each (though he really loves the first wife and sneaks extra sessions of sex with her). Entertaining concept - I don't know if this could really happen...
