I'm in a both long term and long distance relationship so we have quite a few things that we try to do to keep close...
One in particular involves us watching Dexter (the showtime series) "together" with a laptop. It's not a great substitute to snuggling on the couch, but at least we get to discuss it and use the context of the show to flirt. We both use the computer a good bit, so between that and a couple video games, it holds us off till the next visit...

That is a good question as I'm having a difficult time right now finding quality time with my boyfriend. I have a 12 year old daughter 50% joint custody. I have to carve out 50% of my time with my boyfriend which leaves very little time for my friends and/or ceramics or art. Lately, I've been feeling..a bit disconnected from him because his grown daughter lives with him (recent grad-little $ to move out yet). We end up having the kids around us a lot. He also gets sleepy at 10 pm cuz he is up at 5:30 everyday...So not a lot of sex. ..
..
I usually have to plan in my mind what I want to say and then wait til the opportunity comes to say it. It is very difficult to have continuity with ANYTHING right now. Always starts and stops with boyfriend and with daughter. ..

In answer - no ritual but I feel I need one. Something to help me feel connected with him again after we have these on and off clusters of days...
