Here's that question

Good looking people generally have it easier in life. A recent study concluded that they can negotiate a better raise than their plain counterparts, rise faster thru corporate ranks , add to that the perks of a greater pool of potential mates, invites to all the best parties... the list goes on. Even when you have talent how can you not rely on it?..

Where it becomes a curse is later in life. We are all aware that beauty is not only superficial it is also fleeting, and those that lose it have a very hard time when they can no longer call it into play to ease their way thru life, even when they have talent to carry on...

Beauty is, for the most part,..a gift...It is no doubt that the most beautiful of people always get the most invites to parties, the best pool for dating, and sometimes even the better job...There are even jobs the focus almost entirely around beauty (modeling acting, etc.)..which further proves that the beautiful have the most options and opportunities in life.....

On the contrary, beauty can also be a curse...It is true that you have to worry about people dating you just because of your looks...Also, if you are more beautiful, people try to take more advantage of you... It is thought the the most beautiful of people are also the least intelligent. In high school, I was never taken seriously...People seem to think that if you have a pretty face, you are nothing but that...Job interviews as well can be tough because it seems bosses agree with the factor that you can either be beauty OR brains...

Being more cute than beautiful, I wouldn't know. But my philosophy is I think having beauty is similar to having lots of money. You are never sure if people really want to be with you for you. But it seems that highly attractive people enjoy many more options in life - more men (or women) to choose from, favors done free of charge, people seem to gravitate around them, job opportunities more so than if they are just average looking with the same talents. I guess the curse would come into play if they take advantage of their looks and become obnoxious in using people. Also, they get all this attention with an expectation from others to reciprocate. That can be a real curse...

Beauty is ... undeniably a gift ... but like so many other gifts granted during the "birth lottery" ... it is what is done with it that determines if, in fact, it was a curse or not...
..
The same can be said for a brilliant mind, left to not reach it's potential, Burden or Blessing...Or the ability to bear children, a gift, we so often see Misused and Abused...

I've known beautiful people turn ugly by simply opening their mouths, so I look for beauty thru the window to the soul, the eyes ... they rarely change and seldom deceive...

I haven't had to worry about it, but beautiful people I've known do. They never know if it's the looks or the personality which attracts their dates. ..
